Cynthia J. Kohlbry
Cindy Kohlbry joined Conley & Company in 2006. She has recruited talent for most of her career and as a search consultant for the last eleven years. She has a broad and diverse recruiting practice with specialization in financial services, information technology, life sciences, and venture capital.
Prior to her career in search, Ms. Kohlbry worked in investment and merchant banking for CitiGroup; HSBC, a London-based merchant bank; and a regional bank later acquired by Bank of America. Her responsibilities have covered most areas of capital markets, corporate finance, investment and commercial banking, wealth management, and venture capital. She has served on a number of bank-related committees and boards, and on the boards of several European manufacturing concerns. An active and engaging speaker, Ms. Kohlbry makes regular presentations at industry conferences and financial services forums.
A graduate of Smith College, Ms. Kohlbry is deeply involved in her community. A founding board member of the Shakespeare Festival, she is a past president of the board of the Center of Creative Arts, and currently serves on the boards of The Repertory Theatre, and is a member of the Women’s Forum and the advisory board for the Business and Technology School of Webster University. She is active with the Bridges Across Racial Polarity group at MICDS, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Venture Forum, and numerous other civic ventures. For the past five years, she has volunteered with Executives In Transition – a not-for-profit she founded – assisting executives in their career searches.
